Considering the objective of the study, given a household participated in nonfarm employments and its effect on food security, the Heckman selection model (two stage) is used. We examine first the household decision with respect to participation in nonfarm employment using pobit model. We found that land size, age, family size, special skill, electricity, credit, distance to the nearest market and access to irrigation are the most influencing variables in determining farmers

However, one may observe that the mass media, legal community, politicians, diplomats, NGOs and medical community persistently use the term ethnic cleansing. Moreover the crimes against humanity which were committed in 1990s’ could be discussed and prosecuted by courtesy of that term. In addition the foregoing discussion about ethnic cleansing was essential in the establishment of International Criminal Court. Therefore, in this paper it is argued that, after the establishmen

It is being offered in this paper that the nation should develop in-house forensic institutions for corruption suspects and convicts following a battery of psychological testing on the mental condition of corruption suspects (i. e. , the malady of Corruptomania) to determine un

Thus, to achieve the objective of maximum economic efficiency, the liberal trade policy must be complimented through a sound competition policy by preventing anti-competitive business practices and unnecessary government intervention. There are now more than a billion malnourished people in the world meaning that almost one sixth of humanity is suffering from hunger. Fertility of land has been reduced due to over exploitation, excessive use of chemical fertilisers, insecticides and pesticides. Due to indiscriminate deforestation the amount of rainfall reduces and land erosion takes place. Natur

The time span from the year 2008 till now seemed to be full of financial tantrum – Sub Prime Crisis, US debt Crisis and European debt crisis. This financial ups and down seemed to have embraced BRIC countries as well. In this paper I attempted to quantify the interrelationship between these promising countries. Abstract The flexural wave propagation in a homogeneous Isotropic rotating cylindrical panel is investigated in the context of the linear theory of elasticity. Three displacement potential functions are introduced to uncouple the equations of motion. The frequency equations are obtained using the traction free boundary conditions. A modified Bessel functions with complex argument is directly used to analyze the frequency equations and are studied numerically for the material copper. The computed Rela

The demand for fresh water rises manyfold due to rise in population, irrigation, urbanization, for drinking and domestic use, municipal water supply, unlimited withdrawal of ground water, less water recharge, fall in rainfall due to global warming and pollution, misuse in nuclear reactor etc. As a result the crisis of water becomes acute not only in India but also in the World.
