5 Tips to Avoid Frustration in Horse Training by Monica Erman
We all have a limited amount of time to train our horses. But in that time, we want to make large amount of lasting
progress. We want to know that we’ve significantly made tomorrow’s ride a better one. Frustration tends to be born
from believing our actions are futile; like when the muddy pawed dog walks across the floor we’ve almost finished
cleaning. That’s frustrating! Finding ways to make our training easy to understand will create the overall pretty picture
of horsemanship we want, whether we are loading our horse in the trailer, running a gymkhana pattern, enjoying a trail
ride or sharing our horses with family.
1 - When we hit a problem, let’s not think of it as a problem. It’s an opportunity to improve our horse. The
