Fugitive Found in Mexico On His Way Back To ArkansasEditor’s Note: Last week I printed
that a run-off election would be held
for the Lt. Governor’s office.
It should have said the Attorney
General’s candidates would be in
the run off election. I apologize for
any confusion or inconvenience this
may have caused.
Republican candidates Leslie
Rutledge and David Sterling will
face each other on Tuesday, June
10. Republican Patricia Nation was
third place in the race with only 43
votes in the county and 22,885 votes
statewide.
Rutledge received 79,020 votes
statewide with 129 of those votes in
Calhoun County. Sterling received
65,414 votes statewide with 66 of
those votes in Calhoun County.
There are no Democrat candidates
for Attorney General.
The local Election Commissioners
are Roger Mills (chair) and Mary Lou
Smith and Eric Alexander.
