with Charlie Epps TALKIN’ GOLF ’ve been teaching golf on the radio since 1978. I can still hear my father ask me, “You’re teaching golf on the radio? How does that work?” All I can say is that it does work. Over the years, I’ve had a lot of people tell me I’ve helped them with their golf games and certain thoughts they’ve had about the swing, the fundamentals and the short game as they’ve called in to talk to me or simply tuned in on a Saturday morning to listen to the Charlie Epps Golf Hour. Everyone wants to get better at golf. It’s a game of a lifetime, and we never master it. Even the best players in the world are constantly learning, constantly trying to improve. It’s a game that we can capture for brief moments, but even those stretches when you’re in complete control of your swing don’t last. One day you’re flushing it on the middle of the club face.
