golf. in 1995, he suffered a broken neck and lay paralyzed
in the hospital for eight days.
he finally underwent surgery to have metal plates inserted
between cervical vertebrae 3-7, but it took months and months of
rehabilitation just to learn how to walk again.
so, yes, hooper definitely feels lucky to be able to play golf.
now 54, he has also discovered he is lucky at golf, too.

until 2010, when he made his first at Waxahachie Country Club.

“i have never seen anything like it in my 20 years in the golf
