The first ever Roast &
Toast of the Calhoun County
Citizen of the Year (James
Rawls) is set for Thursday,
January 30 at the school
cafeteria.
The proceeds from this
flaming event will go to the
Calhoun County Single Parent Scholarship Fund.
You can purchase the
$10 tickets in advance at
First Bank, First State Bank,
SATCO and Ouachita Electric. A limited number will be
available at the door.
The event will be worth the
greenbacks to see James’
cheeks set on fire with witty
banter, tall tales and embarrassing moments. Brothers
Steve and David Wells and
Dr. Corbet Lamkin of SAU
Tech and former Hampton
Citizen of the Year James Rawls set to be
Methodist Minister Stephen
Copley are a few of the
speakers that will no doubt
remind James why he is
being toasted as he is being
roasted.
