Every office will have at least one of them.
Once your company reaches a certain level
of business, it is almost guaranteed that you will need to bring one in.
They are a benefit
in times of high volume and can become a major hinderance whenever a slowdown
occurs.
It is even worse when you have to get rid of them because all you can think
about is what you would do if you were in their position.
It is one of those business
situations that has an odd sense of win/lose to it no matter what direction you look at it
from.
Who am I talking about here? I am of course referring to the Office Assistant.
From a
basic new employee all the way up to the CEO s Executive Assistant, these are the
people that are called on to handle all of the day-to-day operations and tasks around the
office that allow the employees that are more specialized in their workload to have the
ability to get those things done.
