In the turbulent economic times in which we live, real estate may
still be treated as a long-term, low-risk
investment, especially when compared
to investing in the stock market.
The ups
and downs of the real estate market are by
far less acute; also, the depreciation of the
price of shares is way faster, so the danger of losing a lot of money in a relatively
short period of time is quite high.
When it
comes to property, on the other hand, an
investor’s portfolio can gain in diversity
and maximise returns, since the dependency on currency fluctuations is relatively
small.
I like to think that I’m not only in
the business of selling houses, but also in
the business of managing people’s portfolios – their financial futures, as it were.
