It should be an obvious fact that the
safety of students should be a school s
top priority.
For the most part, this seems
to be something that SCIS is committed
to, and for that, our school deserves to be
applauded.
However, there is one glaring
shortcoming in the school s commitment
to student safety, and it is one that must
be rectified before SCIS is able to proclaim itself to be a truly safe environment.
I am referring, of course, to the
school s outdoor tile walkway, which
runs around the school and is located in
close proximity to the soccer field.
This
walkway is dangerous, plain and simple.
Any sort of rainfall turns it into a slick,
treacherous surface, where the slightest
misstep can result in a one-way trip to the
ground.
Its proximity to soccer field
makes it all the more hazardous.

the course of a PE class or soccer game,
