The holiday cottage industry in Devon is worth millions and most holiday cottage
owners throughout Devon are reporting record breaking occupancy levels as the
August bank holiday brings a mass influx of visitors to the South West.
South Molton, North Devon, UK, August 29, 2009 -- Much of Britain s transport
network will bring misery to the hundreds of thousands of people on the move this
August bank holiday as more and more of us grab a last minute break to the coast or
countryside.
The AA has deployed an extra 30 units to the region for the weekend.
With millions of British residents holidaying in the UK or staycationing the
South West and Cornwall and Devon in particular are braced for a huge increase in
traffic and visitor numbers.
Of course this is great news for accommodation
providers and businesses that rely on tourism.
